For 40 years, Sunshine Swim School has been providing infant swimming lessons for Tucson residents. Babies can start swimming lessons at three months old. Their swimming programs helps babies become comfortable in the water, learn how to prevent drowning, and be able to move in the water. They instruct parents, too, on not leaving babies unsupervised even though their infants are taking advantage of their swimming lessons. Parents can choose group classes and private or semi-private classes.
Class lengths vary and usually occur twice a week, either scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesday and Thursdays. Or people can schedule one-week sessions at 25 minutes apiece. The infant swimming classes vary according to their ages, containing only three to four infants of similar ages.
